The Human Factor is Important

on

I will never forget showing off the inventory control reports that would help identify the slow moving items in an inventory intensive business.   Most companies I worked with wanted to get rid of the slow movers.  Not this guy, when I told him he could do what others do and get rid of them he looked at me with incredulity.  “Why would I want to do that?” he responded.  He immediately started going through the list, and knowing his business better than I ever would, he started to increase the prices on all of his slow movers.  When I asked why he was doing that, he responded with, “Somebody will need this, and I will be the only one that has it.  I have the space, so why get rid of it for next to nothing”

The future of Robotics, and yes, humanity.

The principle behind technology has not changed.  If you want to be great one won’t blindly follow the rules of the numbers.  Be a thinker.
