Data We Give Away

In my previous post I dissed the use of some of the hottest technology tools in the market.  What I did not say is that one of the reasons I do not have them in my home is that I do not want some device listening to every word I say.

While the makers of these devices say they do not do that, I know sometimes the technology fails, creating situations that I do not want.

Check out this article on Wired magazine’s website.  It thoroughly the discusses the potential uses in the current Facebook 10 year challenge.

While that data can be used for good, there is no guarantee that it will be used for good.  And just for free, we are providing that data.

  1. Thank you for another wonderful article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such an ideal way of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I’m on the look for such information.
